The Truth About All Inclusive Holidays

Having travelled extensively to many different countries around the world, I do feel that I am well placed to offer some advice on the increasingly popular all inclusive holidays packages. To be honest, I have usually been very disappointed with this concept and in this article I will explain some of the reasons why.

Obviously, it goes without saying that any hotel that looks to offer the all inclusive package is doing so in order to make a profit. We all understand and accept this. However, the problem with this type of package tends to arise where hotels generally tend to offer food and beverages that are of the lowest standard.

All inclusive packages allow you to eat and drink as much as you like but this is nearly always within a specified period of time. Most packages will stop at 1 am and then the hotelier will charge for any drinks after this time.

I never book anything lower than a four star hotel and have therefore experienced all inclusive packages at some alleged luxury properties. At the end of the holiday though, I have rarely been left with the feeling that I have had my monies worth out of such a deal. The food has tended to be very bland and the drinks - well, usually flipping awful.

My biggest piece of advice would be to avoid all inclusive packages in Muslim countries like the plague. We all know that the Islamic faith does not allow for them to drink alcohol and man, you will soon see that they are not about to offer you anything decent. In fact, every single drink tends to taste like the cheapest whisky you could ever find - even vodka does!

Egypt, Turkey and other popular Muslim countries rank as the worst for all inclusive. The Caribbean and Greece actually came out on top for me.
